Welcome to the first class of the School: Introduction. You should be familiar with the domain and the new rules of WBL education right from the start.
There are different types of work-based learning, their types and regulations depend on the legislation of the country. Some EU countries have well-structured WBL systems with a long tradition of implementation; whilst other EU countries have recently introduced new dual-based learning systems promoting WBL, and then there are those countries that are working to improve the current range of WBL options available to ensure, that the process is effective and beneficial for all parties involved. Here you will gain a deeper understanding of the WBL Facilitation Didactical Guide. You will have to view a number of resources and explanatory videos and do some activities included at the end of each one of them. It will take you not more than 45 minutes.

1 – Introduction to the General Context and Partners
Embark on a journey through our module on Work-Based Learning, understanding its pivotal role in modern education. Discover how the i-WOBAL Project, with its diverse European partners, is innovatively addressing educational challenges and shaping the future of international WBL models.
2 – Overview and Goals of the Guide
This module gives an overview of the i-WOBAL project’s Didactical Guide, a comprehensive blueprint for Work-Based Learning engagements, designed to inspire facilitators to adapt the model to their specific context and culture. The module introduces the guide and its goals.
3 – 5 Target Groups for the Guide
This module explores the five distinct target groups of the Didactical Guide, each with unique needs and characteristics. Learn how to tailor your Work-Based Learning approach to best serve Adult Learners, People with Special Education Needs, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree Students, and NEETs.
4 – Implications and Role Map
This module will help you to gain a comprehensive understanding of the role map in Work-Based Learning (WBL). Discover the key roles of the Host Institution, the Academic Institution, and the Student, and delve into their responsibilities and tasks. Learn about the importance of the person responsible for the educational path of the student in leading the entire WBL process.
